Description
Delightful Venetian blown bead in a small squashed shape. Known in Italy as the cipollina as they have an onion this shape. Cipolla is the singular in this Italian word. These make great earrings. Handemade Murano Beads. Made by in a glass furnace in the filigrana technique. The holes in these vary as they are blown and range from 1mm to as much as 3mm. You will need to use bead caps to secure your headpins. Size of the bead varies also but ranges about 15-18mm across and about 14 top to bottom. Note the shape in the bead marked side view. This bead has the Avventurina Marron (copper) filigrana swirl.
