| Description |
| One of our beadmakers dreamed these elaborate multi textured beads over the summer during his August vacation. Not telling anyone, not even his wife or daughter, he began working and with a childhood friend who paints porcelain in Venice, they began making sample beads. He was very excited to show them to us and while they sell them in Venice in finished pieces in San Marco Square, they are not available anywhere else. This takes two skills, first the making of the Murano Glass beads and secondly, the painting of the porcelain and then firing the porcelain to the glass. They are 3 dimension and exquisite. They are first made as the bead, here using 24kt gold foil and then the hand painting of the porcelain is done with a final firing. They are a flat oval/round shape measuring about 7-8mm thick and about 30mm in length and about 20 across. |
