| Some shapes can only be made
by the Venetian beadmakers, such as the curved tubes and the tubes.
This is because many of the Venetian beads are made with copper mandrels
which have a lower melting temperature than stainless steel. An experienced
Murano bead maker can heat both the bead the mandrel to a temperature
where the mandrel can be bent producing the beautiful shapes known
throughout the world as Venetian beads. The beauty of these Murano
beads comes through in the clarity of the colors and the sparkle of
the glass.
Some shapes are very difficult to make and require a higher level
of skill and experience such as our flowers, tuplis, animals, butterflies,
ladybugs and fish. These are made by our highly trained beadmakers
and Murano glass artists.
