Alessandrite Square White Gold 11-12mm, Venetian Glass Bead

Murano glass bead: 12mm square made with transparent colors over white gold foil and a 1mm hole. Available also in 20mm square and 14mm square. White gold is an alloy of actual gold and at least one white metal, usually nickel, manganese or palladium. White gold renders a more muted color than either sterling silver or yellow gold. The color is called Alessandrite in Italian and changes colors depending on the light. Outside it appears a more lilac pinkish color and in indoor lighting it appears a pale blue.
