Black with Brown and White Stripes Murano Glass Chevron Bead Oval, 30mm

These are reproductions of ancient trade beads produced in Murano with mid 20th Century glass canes found in the furnaces. Unlike our handmade beads which are made on a mandrel, Chevrons begin as a single cane with the hole already in it as it is produced in the furnace, which is produced by blowing a bubble, therefore it is irregular in symmetry. This one is definitely a good bead for masculine jewelry with its base of black and stripes of brown and white. It has a nominal hole size of about 2-3mm, varying as the hole depends on the mouth blowing.
