Black with Yellow, Brown and White Stripes Murano Glass Chevron Bead Oval, 20mm

These are reproductions of ancient trade beads produced in Murano with mid 20th Century glass canes found in the furnaces. Unlike our handmade beads which are made on a mandrel, Chevrons begin as a single cane with the hole already in it as it is produced in the furnace, which is produced by blowing a bubble, therefore it is irregular in symmetry. This is a smaller size, of the Chevron, as a length of canes will run smaller the further from the blow pipe it gets. It is like making taffy, it maintains it's colors, just becomes smaller. The hole size is between 1 and 2mm. The base color is black with yellow, brown and white.
