Blue with Red and White Stripes Murano Glass Chevron Bead Oval, 35mm

Chevrons begin as a single cane with the hole already in it as it is produced in the furnace, which is produced by blowing a bubble, therefore it is irregular in symmetry. The colors are the result of multiple layers of glass during production which are ground off to reveal the inner colors. The stripes are revealed as the upper layer is ground away. Because these canes are not in production, there is a limited number of these available and each one unique. The colors in this one begin with a blue with white and red which are then ground off to reveal the stripes of color. These can be worn on a necklace as a single bead, and men wear them as well. The size is approximately 40mm in length with a 2mm hole, though each one varies.
