These are classic Murano Glass Trade Beads, produced in varying 20th Century Glass Canes found in the stock of older furnaces in Murano. They vary in size and exact length due to the nature of the canes. They are the production of Claudio Tiozzo, who is a well known fused glass artist. He was able to obtain these canes and ground them himself to reveal the multi layers of colors. Claudio is best known for his very large fused sculptures and not for the beads. He carries on the tradition of his father Sergio with whom we worked for many years. Due to the availability of these old canes, these beads are available only in limited quantities.
