Cobalt, Lapis Murano Glass Beads

Cobalt blue, or dark lapis Murano glass beads are made using the cobalto transparent Effetre glass cane. Unlike the lighter colors, there will not be as much difference in tone whether or not there is foil underneath the surface, as the base color itself is so dominant. Even so, most of our designers like to maintain consistency and be able to market their finished product as having gold or silver foil.
