The process first begins by importing Murano glass to the US in a form that allows it to be coated with the dichroic layer. This is a specialized process we, and most other trust to only one company. We make the glass ready for used in bead making in a form our bead makers prefer to use. We then take the glass back to Venice for our beadmakers to use in production. The technology is from the Aerospace industry which is where Brenda worked for many years in the sales and manufacture of communication satellites so she finds it really wonderful that the technology is now used in art and especially in bringing new products to the timeless tradition of Murano glass and Venetian glass.
