Millefiori Square 10mm Rounded Peridot, Green

10x10mm sq with slightly rounded edges. Translucent Verde Erba (green, peridot) Murano Glass with a white millefiori slice in center creating a daisy. (on both sides). The beads are made by Murano using Moretti glass canes and slices of millefiori. First the translucent bead is made in a round shape (the natural shape of a bead) then a slice of millefiori is placed on each side and heated in the flame until it is securely in the bead. Then the bead is gently laid down on a flat surface and in its' molten state, it becomes flat with slightly rounded edges. As Venetian lampwork beads, they are all slightly different shapes and sizes as measurement is done by the human eye and no two are ever alike!
