Murano Glass Bead Blown and Sculpted Disc 40mm Black Filigrana and Millefiori

These are the latest from Murano a creation of our blower. They are large approximately 40mm in diameter and about 12-14mm thick. These require two different techniques to achieve the end results. They are first blown in the traditonal methods attaching the millefiori to the beads in the process. The finished bead is then taken to the grinding wheel where the glass is ground to expose the millefiori underneath and to give it a textured appearance. No two ever exactly alike. These are limited in quantity. The color on this one is a base of black/white canes and black filigrana which creates the window. The bead is mouthblown and then ground to reveal the color underneath.
