Venetian blown glass bead shapes like a oval (hollow inside). Blown in the furnaces of Murano. Distinctive color stripes of translucent glass blown and twisted at the same time to give the spiral bi-color. Size is about 40mm or little less than 2 inches long and about 17-18 across and about 12mm thick, though it varies are they are individually blown by artisans in Murano. They have a 2-3mm hole lengthwise. No two are ever exactly alike. This one features wide spiraled sashes of red and green with black filigrana.
