Torcello Zanfirico Necklace

When these beads came in, designs were swimming though our heads. The twisted and curved tubes are statement pieces and need only a simple design so their original design stands out.

 

Like many of our more exotic beads, there are many steps even before the bead maker begins.

 

With this bead, the zanfirico tubes must be made before you begin the bead.

 

The bead is about 60mm in length, so about 2 1/4 inches. We added some Venetian seedbeads in the aquamarine color and our Celeste (another opaque Murano Glass color which matches these colors). Throw in a couple of Swarovski Crystals and you're done.

 

We also have this bead in 4 other colors and each of them will make a fabulous necklace.  Feel free to add or change any colors. The supplies we used will make an 18 inch necklace (about 46 centimeters) and we added a 2 inch extension.  We prefer the trigger clasp to a toggle because it is easier to use the extender.
