Valentine Heart

This necklace is an example of something easy to do with a minimum amount of tools. If you have a pair of pliers you can complete this project! Remember, this is just an example. I chose a black heart with red Swarovski crystals because of Valentine's Day but you could choose any shape pendant. Instead of crystals, use 6mm beads and the seed beads can be replaced with different color seed beads or heishi beads.  Let this necklace be your inspiration to create something fantastic.

 

1)For an 18inch necklace, cut 23" of Soft Flex .0 14 jewelry wire.

 

2)String 14 black seed beads to the center of the wire. This will form the bail for the pendant.

 

3)String the pendant on to the center of the wire over the black seed beads. Gather the strings to form a loop out of the seed beads. The pendant should hang in the center of the seed bead loop.

 

4)String the 6mm round crystal over both strings followed by a 6mm crystal rondell and another 6mm crystal.

 

 

1)String 20 black seed beads, red 6mm round crystal, 6mm crystal rondell, 6mm red round crystal, 20 black seed beads, 6mm clear crystal, 6mm crystal rondell, 6mm clear round crystal, 25 black seed beads, 6mm red round crystal, 40 black seed beads.

 

2)Repeat on the other side.

 

3)String a twisted crimp and a wire protector on both sides.

 

4)On one side, string a lobster claw clasp on to the wire protector and feed the string back through the crimp. Make sure the seed beads are snug with no wire showing. With a pair or pliers squash the crimp.

 

5)On the other side, string a closed jump ring onto the wire protector. Feed the wire back through the crimp. Make sure the seed beads are snug and no wire is showing. Squash the crimp.
