White and 24kt Gold Foil, Oro Rotto Calcedonia, 18mm Square, Murano Glass Bead

This is our new line of Calcedonia beads. It features a base of opaque white with Cracked Gold, Oro Rotto and a swirl of Calcedonia all of which are completely encased in clear Murano Glass. The size of this focal bead is approximately 18mm square with a thickness of approximately 11mm and a hole in the center of about 1mm. The shape is our new Vela square which is slightly thicker in the middle and taper off on the side. Calcedonia is a difficult color, style of Murano Glass to make which is produced only by 2 furnaces in Murano according to recipes handed down. The silver metal in the glass production gives it a different color with each batch. Calcedonia has been made popular in the glass world by the famous Murano Glass Artist Dino Rosin whose sculptures in Calcedonia are sold in galleries around the world.
