Soft lilac-pink glass, dramatic dark spots and brilliant 24kt gold foil come together in this distinctive large Murano Glass rectangle bead, handmade using traditional Venetian lampworking techniques.
The bead begins with an interior of opaque Lilac Moretti glass, a beautiful soft pink-lilac shade. Splashes of genuine 24kt gold foil add warmth and brilliance, while randomly placed dark chocolate-black glass dots create the bead's playful spotted pattern.
The entire design is then completely encased in clear Moretti glass. This transparent outer layer gives the bead additional depth and dimension, allowing the lilac color, dark spots and flashes of genuine gold to appear suspended beneath the surface.
The contrast is particularly striking: romantic lilac-pink paired with deep chocolate-black and the unmistakable warmth of 24kt gold. Because the dots and gold are applied by hand, each bead develops its own individual pattern.
Measuring approximately 25 x 19mm, this is a substantial rectangular bead that works beautifully as a focal element in jewelry. Its size makes it especially attractive as a pendant or necklace centerpiece, yet it is still suitable for incorporating into statement bracelets.
