Handmade in Murano, Italy, this authentic Venetian glass pendant features a beautiful arrangement of Peridot green and white floral glass canes. The intricate pattern is often referred to as “lace” because the tiny flowers and repeating cane patterns create the appearance of delicate lacework within the glass.
Each of the small flowers begins as an individual Murano glass cane handmade by Venetian glass artisans. The completed canes are carefully sliced into thin cross-sections, revealing the tiny flower patterns inside. These individual slices are then arranged to create the pendant's floral design before being fused together in the kiln.
The pendant goes through a three-step process that produces a beautifully smooth surface and gently rounded edges. Its slightly curved round shape gives the pendant dimension while allowing the intricate floral pattern to remain the focus.
Measuring approximately 40mm in diameter, this is a substantial focal pendant that can easily become the centerpiece of a necklace. The hole is positioned near the top, making it easy to attach with a bail, jump ring, wire or other jewelry finding.
